Dyersville, IA to Muscantine, IA

Miles 98
I did not ride today at all.  I was a van rider again.  Woke up to a windy day.  The sun was out.  It was a lot of rolling hills. Supposed to be a high of 90.  It was very warm. I spent the day juggling while waiting for the riders to arrive at all the sag stops.  I was the only one who decided not to ride.  Jan, Carol, Jeanette and Lin got a 40 mile bump.  Everyone was tried by the first sag stop but they kept going.  By the second sag stop everyone was done.  41 miles is all that everyone rode of the 98 miles.  25 mph winds right at ya.  It took 45 minutes to go 6 miles.  The riders had to pedal going down hills.  The last sag stop was in Onslow, Ia.  Betty called the van to make sure she was not left behind.  She wanted to make sure the van was going  waiting for her.  She was done even before the 41 mile marker.  They all finish hard.  The riders who got a 40 mile bump only rode 22 miles and the sag picked them up.  We got to the hotel and everyone did random things to past the time.  Rest day tomorrow.  Taking my bike to get repaired.
